• NYC's 2-K child care program is now open for applications: What you need to know. (nydailynews.com) — Families in Inwood and Washington Heights can now apply for New York City’s new free “2‑K” child care program for 2‑year‑olds, starting this fall in District 6. Children born in 2024 are eligible, with 2,000 seats across contracted sites citywide. Applications, open through June 26, can be submitted online, by phone, or at Family Welcome Centers.
