City housing officials have taken him to court, arguing he’s neglected dangerous conditions and failed to protect tenants, while survivors describe devastating losses and long-standing problems like broken alarms and pests. 
• Man accused of setting triple fatal fire in Inwood with discarded cigarette (abc7ny.com) — Three people were killed and more than a dozen injured in a recent Inwood apartment fire that investigators say began when a resident discarded a lit cigarette into cardboard boxes. The 29-year-old man accused of causing the blaze is now charged with criminally negligent homicide and is due in Manhattan criminal court, while several victims, including children, remain in critical condition.
