• Long Island doctor and son accused of running family-run pill mill (nypost.com) — A retired doctor allegedly resumed practicing at a non-surgical weight loss center in Islandia, where investigators say he and his son used fraudulent prescriptions to distribute addictive medications in 2022. Authorities claim prescriptions were issued without proper exams, then filled at pharmacies across Queens, with some pills later resold or traded, and both men now face multiple criminal charges.
