
ISLIP, NY - Islip High School seniors Victoria Arthus and Matthew Southard were recently named Commended Students by the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Both were recognized for their outstanding results in the 2017 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Arthus and Southard both finished among the top 50,000 scorers out of more than 1.6 million students nationwide participating in the annual competition.
