Baby Jesus Statue Stolen From East Islip Church

The statue was stolen sometime between Christmas and Monday morning.

EAST ISLIP, NY - A baby Jesus statue was stolen from an East Islip church sometime between Christmas afternoon and Monday morning, according to Suffolk Police.

An unknown person or people stole the statue from a nativity scene in front of St. Mary’s Church on 118 West Main Street sometime between Dec. 25 at 1:15 p.m. and Dec. 26 at 9 a.m.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Hate Crimes Unit at 631-852-6181 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
