Central Islip School District announced on Wednesday that all schools will be closed due to the storm. According to the school's website, due to inclement weather, all schools will be closed on Thursday, Feb. 9. The National Weather Service issued a <a href="https://patch.com/new-york/portjefferson/long-island-snow-total-estimates-rise-again-winter-storm-warning-issued">winter storm warning</a> for Long Island as up to a foot of snow is expected to fall on Long Island Thursday.
