Experience Colonial Life At Islip Grange Park's 'Living History Day'
The family-friendly event will feature demonstrations of colonial cooking and military drills, a mock town meeting and more.

ISLIP, NY — If you've wondered if you'd enjoy living in colonial times, you'll soon have the opportunity to find out.
On Saturday, June 11, the Town of Islip will host its Living History Day at Islip Grange Park, located at Broadway Ave. in Sayville, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The family-friendly event will feature demonstrations of colonial cooking and military drills, walking tours of the Islip Grange, a mock town meeting using town historical records, and a lesson on how to research your home’s history.
Groups participating include local historical societies, reenactment groups, the Montaukett Nation, the Bayport Aerodrome, and the Islip town clerk and historian’s offices.
