EAST ISLIP, NY – A 42-year-old man was arrested after he crashed his car into a tree in East Islip Saturday night, police said. According to Suffolk Police, Daniel Torres was driving a Toyota Camry on Bayview Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree near Kay Court at about 9:30 p.m. Torres, of Central Islip, was arrested and charged with DWI, police said. The crash occurred just feet away from where police say a drunk 24-year-old man <a href="https://patch.com/new-york/islip/drunk-man-crashes-trees-poles-east-islip-police" target="_blank" rel="noopener">crashed</a> into a tree exactly a week earlier.
