Man Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Tree: Police

The crash occurred exactly a week after another DWI crash just feet away.

EAST ISLIP, NY – A 42-year-old man was arrested after he crashed his car into a tree in East Islip Saturday night, police said.

According to Suffolk Police, Daniel Torres was driving a Toyota Camry on Bayview Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree near Kay Court at about 9:30 p.m.

Torres, of Central Islip, was arrested and charged with DWI, police said.
