Man Crashes Rented U-Haul After Trying to Flee Officer: Police
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

BRENTWOOD, NY - A Lindenhurst man was arrested after crashing a rented U-Haul van while trying to flee police in Brentwood on Tuesday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.
Keith Doherty, 45, was driving a rented 2016 Ford Transit U-Haul when police attempted a traffic stop at about 5 p.m.
He led officers on a pursuit on westbound Motor Parkway and Route 111 in Brentwood when he crashed into a wooded area.

He was charged with two counts reckless endangerment, fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, third degree criminal trespass and two counts aggravated unlicensed operation, police said.
