Man Stole From Coin-Operated Machines At 13 Gas Stations: PD
The 29-year-old broke into and stole money from machines at gas stations across Suffolk County over the past 2 weeks, police say.
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY - A Bayport man was arrested on Thursday for breaking into and stealing money from coin-operated vacuums and air machines at gas stations throughout Suffolk County, according to Suffolk Police.
On Wednesday, officers responded to BP on 2840 Pond Road in Ronkonkoma after 29-year-old Anthony Pitocco was caught drilling into the lock of a coin-operated vacuum at 7:20 p.m, police said.
According to police, following an investigation, Pitocco was connected to similar incidents at the 12 other locations during the past two weeks including:

Pitocco was charged with three counts fourth degree grand larceny, second degree criminal mischief, 10 counts third degree criminal mischief, fourth degree criminal mischief and seven counts petty larceny.
He will be held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Central Islip.
