• Massive Street Takeover Bust In Medford Sees 15 Rounded Up, 7 Vehicles Seized: Police (patch.com) — Police say a Suffolk task force stopped a planned street takeover that nearly hit Commack Road and Sunrise Highway in Islip before ending in 15 arrests and seven impounded vehicles in Medford. One suspect is from East Islip, and all are due in Central Islip court, underscoring stepped-up enforcement against dangerous stunt driving across nearby communities. 
• These Suffolk Girl Scouts Will See Their Designs Come To Life In Lights (patch.com) — Two West Islip Girl Scouts are among five Suffolk winners whose artwork will become illuminated displays at this year's Holiday Light Show at Camp Edey in Bayport. Their designs, inspired by what Girl Scouts means to them, will help draw visitors and support Girl Scouts of Suffolk County programs and financial assistance for girls.
