15-Year-Old Girl Found Dead Near School in Suffolk County
BREAKING: Her body was found Tuesday night. Police are investigating.

BRENTWOOD, NY - Suffolk Police are investigating the death of a 15-year-old Brentwood girl who was found dead on Tuesday night.
Officers were called to Stahley Street, near Loretta Park Elementary School, after a passing motorist called 911 at 8:36 p.m. to report a body in the road, police said.
Upon arrival, they found Nisa Mickens in the road with lacerations and head trauma, police said.

Mickens, who would have turned 16 on Wednesday, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is being conducted to determine the cause of death.

The girl's father told Newsday that Mickens was visiting a friend's home Tuesday night and texted her father at about 8 p.m. asking to be picked up at 10:30 p.m.

A 15-year-old girl, Kayla Cuevas, who was with Mickens Tuesday, has not been seen since Mickens' body was found, NBC 4 reported.
