Location For President Trump's Long Island Visit Revealed

Newsday reports that the president will discuss the deadly MS-13 gang that has plagued the island.

President Donald Trump will be on Long Island Friday to discuss efforts to combat MS-13, the gang believed to be behind at least 12 murders on the island.

Newsday broke the news Monday night, citing details from Rep. Peter King. On Tuesday, Newsday reported that Trump will speak at 1:30 p.m. at the Van Nostrand Theatre at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood.

“MS-13 is going to be gone from our streets very soon, believe me,” Trump said in May.

The U.S. Justice Department announced last week that 17 MS-13 members and associates have been charged with racketeering, 12 murders, attempted murders, assaults, obstruction of justice, arson, conspiracy to distribute marijuana and related firearms and conspiracy charges relating to the gang’s activities on Long Island.
