Three Islip Town Businesses Burglarized In One Day: Police

Police are looking for the person or people responsible for the burglaries that took place earlier this month.

Police are seeking the person or people responsible for burglarizing three businesses in the Town of Islip in one day earlier this month, according to Suffolk Police.

An unknown person or people burglarized the following business on Aug. 2:

  • Sunset Restaurant on 600 Bay Avenue in Islip
  • The guard booth at Islip Town Beach
  • Bayside Clam Bar and Grill on 300 Bayview Avenue in East Islip

Money was stolen from the locations.

Detectives believe the suspect or suspects were traveling in a 1988 to 2000 white, two-door Chevrolet or GMC pickup truck with a dark-colored hood and a broken driver’s side taillight (pictured above).

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
