Town Of Islip: Town To Adorn Holiday Tree In Gold To Support Children's Cancer Awareness Month

August 30th, 2021 –Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter is inviting residents to show their support of the Christina Renna Foundation and the fight against childhood cancers through the month of September by donning a golden ribbon. Since 1997, the American Childhood Cancer Organization has used the gold ribbon to symbolize that like gold, children’s lives are irreplaceable and treasured. The holiday tree outside Islip Town Hall will be adorned in gold ribbons during the month of September, in support of the Christina Renna Foundation and the fight against childhood cancers.
