MTA Bus Runs Over Man In Jackson Heights
A Q33 bus hit and killed a pedestrian in Jackson Heights, Queens, early Monday morning, police said.
JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS - An MTA bus struck and killed a pedestrian in Queens early Monday morning.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. at Roosevelt Ave. and 75th Street in Jackson Heights, authorities said. A Q33 bus was going west on Roosevelt Ave. when the 55-year-old bus driver struck a man by 75th Street, according to a preliminary investigation by the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad. The driver stayed on the scene.
“He was alerted that there was someone dragging under his wheels,” a police source told the New York Post.

Emergency responders found the man unconscious and unresponsive with trauma to his head and body. He was rushed to Elmhurst Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
A Collision Investigation Squad investigation is ongoing.
