Queens House Fire Leaves 1 Dead

WOODSIDE, QUEENS — One person was killed when a fire broke out in a house fire in Woodside, Queens, on Tuesday.

The fire started after 3 p.m. at a three-story home on 56th Street.

The flames quickly spread to a neighboring home.

One other person was injured but is expected to be OK.

Eight firefighters suffered minor injuries.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
