Three Injured After Fire In Queens Home Rages For Hours: FDNY

Twenty people were left homeless after the massive blaze ravaged a home in Corona, according to reports.

NORTH CORONA, QUEENS — One civilian and two firefighters were left injured after a three-alarm fire broke out in a North Corona home on Sunday night, FDNY officials said.

Crews were called to the home at 34-40 100 Street just before 10 p.m. When they got there, they found that a fire had broken out in the second floor of the two-story home, which is near 35th Street, FDNY officials said.

The fire took about three hours to put out and was under control by 1 a.m.

All three of the injuries were not life threatening, officials said. Details about the age or condition of the people injured was not immediately available. Eyewitness News reported that 20 people are now homeless because of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
