18-Year-Old Charged With Murder For South Jamaica Shooting

SOUTH JAMAICA, QUEENS — Police arrested an 18-year-old boy on murder and gun charges for a fatal shooting in Queens last month.

South Jamaica resident Keanu Suckoo faces charges of murder, attempted murder and possession of a loaded gun for the March 5 shooting that left one dead, police said.

Officers arrested Suckoo on April 11, more than a month after the homicide.

Jamaica resident Pernell Cudjoe, 27, was shot in Springfield Gardens the evening of March 5, according to police. Emergency responders rushed him to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Relatives told the New York Daily News that Cudjoe may have been killed over his brand-new BMW.

“Everyone is saying maybe there was jealousy,” the victim’s father, Godwin Cudjoe, told the Daily News.
