NYPD Officer Killed In Queens Motorcycle Crash, Police Say
NYPD Officer Marc St. Arromand, a 14-year police veteran, died Thursday after losing control of his motorcycle on his way to work.

LAURELTON, QUEENS — An off-duty police officer died after his motorcycle crashed early Thursday in Queens.
NYPD Highway police officer Marc St. Arromand, 42, was driving a 2011 Yamaha motorcycle south on the Laurelton Parkway between Linden and Merrick Boulevards about 5:30 a.m. when he lost control, police said.
St. Arromand crashed into a metal guardrail and fell onto the road, where he was hit by a 53-year-old man driving a gray Chevrolet Camaro, according to police.

Emergency responders rushed the cop to Franklin General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 6:30 a.m.

St. Arromand was a 14-year veteran of the NYPD, where he was part of Highway Patrol. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia, and their five children: 11-year-old Sa'Niyah, 9-year-old Cayla, 4-year-old Michael, 2-year-old Daniel and newborn Jason.

There are no arrests. The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
