• Riverhead moves to condemn science center property (riverheadlocal.com) — Riverhead’s Town Board has voted to begin eminent domain proceedings on the Long Island Science Center’s Main Street property, a key piece of the town square plan, sparking cost and transparency concerns. A Jamesport resident and others questioned the lack of a clear public use and price tag, while supporters argued the long-vacant building is blighted and blocking long-promised downtown revitalization.
