Back to School Blast at Smith Haven Mall

Smith Haven Mall will host its first ever Back to School Blast, a daylong event featuring Long Island’s best family-friendly resources and essentials. Taking place on Sunday, August 24 from 12 to 6 p.m. in Center Court, the expo will present parents with a wealth of information from exhibitors, all with a focus on children’s services, products and more.

“During this back-to-school season, we are pleased to host an event that helps parents seek out resources to benefit their children and families,” commented Ashley Jacobsen, director of mall marketing and business development for Smith Haven Mall. “From educational services to health and wellness, expert advice and guidance will be dispensed during the expo.”

The exhibitors who will be on-site at Smith Haven Mall include North Shore Eye Care, Musicology Performance Center, C2 Education, KinderCare Learning Center, Village East Gifted, Kiddie Academy, Tower Talent, Tiger Schulmann’s, Helping Hands Children’s Services, World Gym Coram, Achieve Beyond, Cohen Children’s Medical Center, American Beef Corporation, Tutor Time of Nesconset and Your Local Kids Source, a sponsor of the event. Children will be treated to an appearance by Long Island Ducks mascot QuackerJack from 12 to 1:30 p.m. and Little Redhead Entertainment will provide costumed characters and conduct free face painting for kids. Meticulice will be doing free hair extensions and lice checks, Long Island Science Center will be providing a science craft, and Plasterkraze will be offering a free plastercraft activity.
