Back to School Blast a Success at Smith Haven Mall

Smith Haven Mall recently hosted its first ever Back to School Blast, a daylong event featuring Long Island’s best family-friendly resources and essentials. Families in attendance received a wealth of information from exhibitors, all with a focus on children’s services, products and more.

The exhibitors on-site at Smith Haven Mall included North Shore Eye Care, Musicology Performance Center, C2 Education, KinderCare Learning Center, Village East Gifted, Kiddie Academy, Tower Talent, Tiger Schulmann’s, Helping Hands Children’s Services, World Gym Coram, Achieve Beyond, Cohen Children’s Medical Center, American Beef Corporation, Tutor Time of Nesconset and Your Local Kids Source (pictured), a sponsor of the event. Children were treated to an appearance by Long Island Ducks mascot QuackerJack and Little Redhead Entertainment provided costumed characters and free face painting for kids. Meticulice offered free hair extensions and lice checks, Long Island Science Center hosted a science craft and Plasterkraze gave kids a chance to engage in a free plastercraft activity.
