Bicyclist Critically Injured in Holbrook Hit-and-Run
Police are searching for a large commercial truck with damage to its passenger side view mirror.

An East Patchogue man is in critical condition after he was struck by a truck while riding his bicycle in Holbrook Monday night, police said.
According to police, Bradley J. Samuel, 43, was riding his bike east on Veterans Memorial Highway, west of Coates Avenue, when he was struck by a vehicle also traveling eastbound at 8:55 pm. The driver fled the scene, police said.
Samuel was transported via Holbrook Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is being treated for head injuries.

The vehicle that fled the scene is believed to be a large commercial truck with oversized mirrors, with damage to the passenger side view mirror, police said.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed or has information on the crash to contact the Vehicular Crime Unit at 631-852-6555 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
