St. Johnland Nursing Center will hold a blood drive on Monday, May 5th from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at the nursing center, 395 Sunken Meadow Road. Close to 2,000 donations are needed each day in the NY metro area for patients who need a transfusion. Volunteers must be between the ages of 17 and 75, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in good health. Donations take less than 45 minutes. Please be a blood donor! Donors will be eligible to win a gift basket and know that they are performing a crucial public duty. If you have questions, please call Cheryl Connelly at 631-663-2461.
