Get Healthier This Year - How To Naturally Dye Easter Eggs
Bond with your kids, get healthier and go green by naturally dying your Easter eggs. Here's a step-by-step for you to follow.

Easter is coming and it occurred to me that dying Easter eggs is a lot of fun but the artificial dyes used in making all of those pretty colors is not healthy to ingest. So, I went on a little Easter hunt of my own to find a healthier way to color Easter eggs. I thought I would share what I found with you.
This is a great way to introduce healthier lifestyle choices into your child’s life. Most children need time and numerous attempts before embracing new fruits and vegetables into their diet. The key is to keep introducing and reintroducing them in different ways! This is a super-fun way to bond with your children, unleash your creativity and dye Easter eggs in a healthier and more natural way. Who needs all of those artificial colors? Empty egg cartons for drying the eggs
White vinegar

Color Formulas:
- Blue/Grey - 1/2 cup fresh or frozen purple berries
- Brick Red/Orange - 4 tablespoons dried paprika
- Pale Lavender - grape juice
- Violet - 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
- Yellow/Gold - 2 tablespoons ground turmeric, or yellow onion skins
- Pale Pink - 1/2 cup cranberries, red fruit juice or beets
Procedure:
- For each tint, put desired fruit juice, skin, or spice into a heat resistant mug. Use a fork to mash the fruits or stir the frozen concentrate until smooth.
- Pour 1/2 cup of boiling water and 1 teaspoon of white vinegar to each mug.
- Place a hard boiled egg on a spoon and gently lower it into a mug. Soak the egg a minimum of 5 minutes.
- Once the eggs are the desired colors, rinse in cool water and place the egg in the carton to dry.
