Lighten Up Your Summer Menu With a Healthy Burger

A healthy alternative to your summer favorites.

These burgers taste great with or with out a bun

 Spinach & Cheese Turkey Burgers
 • 1.3 lbs of ground turkey

• 1 Package Frozen Chopped Spinach (defrosted and drain out all the water)

• 1/2 cup part-skim Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

• 1/4 cup Seasoned Whole Wheat Breadcrumbs

• 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

• Fresh Ground Black Pepper and Salt

Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together, salt and pepper to taste. Divide the mixture into 8 equal parts and form burgers. Grill or cook in a frying pan. Serve with a whole wheat bun or a spinach salad.

 
Other Variations

Greek Spinach Turkey Burger
 •  Ground Turkey

• 1 Package Frozen Chopped Spinach (defrosted and drain out all the water)

• 1/2 cup Feta Cheese

• 1/2 cup chopped Kalamata olives or black olives

• 1/4 cup Seasoned Whole Wheat Breadcrumbs

• 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

• Fresh Ground Black Pepper and Salt


Mexican Style Turkey Burger
 •  Ground Turkey

• 1/2 cup Part-Skim Shredded Mexican Style Shredded 4 Cheese Mix 

• 1/2 cup corn

• 1/4 cup Whole Wheat Breadcrumbs

• 1/4 tsp Chili Powder

• Fresh Ground Black Pepper and Salt

Serve with salsa!
