Check out this article from the Long Island Business News: According to this 2012 article, the Town of Smithtown has been named one of the seven worst places to build on Long Island. Its no surprise that the downtowns look the way they do. The fact that we have let this go on so long is unconscionable. We need to elect leaders who are capable of changing this.
