Geoffrey Lane Home Suffers House Fire

A fire was reported at a home on Geoffrey Lane Saturday evening.

According to Ed Goutink of the Kings Park Fire Department, the fire, which happened at approximately 11:13 p.m., was confined to the oil burner room on the ground floor of the home with some extension into the floor above and was brought under control by 11:45 p.m.

Surrounding fire departments helped in the response, including Smithtown, Commack and East Northport.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
