Police: E. Northport Man Arrested After Robbing Pharmacy

Man stole painkillers and cash Tuesday morning, police say.

An East Northport man robbed a Port Jefferson Station pharmacy Tuesday morning before being arrested at a hotel a mile down the road, police said.

According to police, 27-year-old Ryan Frische entered the Rite Aid, located at 518 Jefferson Plaza, shortly before 10:30 a.m. and approached the pharmacy counter to purchase hypodermic needles.

Following the purchase, Friche made verbal demands and gave the clerk a note that demanded cash and “oxy” pills, police said. Frische fled the store on foot with three bottles of OxyContin pills and an undetermined amount of cash, police said.
