• Power KO'd when brush fire blackens four acres (midhudsonnews.com) — A wind-driven brush fire near Drewville Road at the Carmel-Mahopac border knocked out power and cable for many residents and drew mutual aid from the Lake Carmel Fire Department. Crews from NYSEG and Comcast worked with emergency services to isolate the outage, while Carmel Police closed part of Drewville Road for much of Tuesday afternoon.
