• Lansing moves toward data center ban as TeraWulf debate reaches turning point (fingerlakes1.com) — Lansing officials are drafting a local law that could ban data centers townwide, putting TeraWulf’s proposed Lake Hawkeye project at the former Milliken power plant in serious jeopardy. After a packed public meeting with strong opposition to the project, most Town Board members now favor outright prohibition, citing environmental, noise, and legal concerns while weighing the loss of potential tax revenue and redevelopment at the brownfield site.
