• Opposition grows to proposed AI data center project near Cayuga Lake (fingerlakes1.com) — A large AI data center proposed by TeraWulf on Cayuga Lake’s Lansing shoreline is drawing growing opposition, with petitions urging the Lansing Planning Board and Town Board to reject it. Residents and advocates worry about wetlands loss, lake water withdrawals, diesel backup generators, years of construction noise, and added strain on New York’s electric grid. Local officials are being pressed to consider alternatives that better protect the Cayuga Lake watershed.
