20-Year-Old Driver Killed In Boston Post Road Collision With Building
An 18-year-old passenger was seriously injured in the gruesome early morning crash that required the building to be stabilized.

MAMARONECK, NY — A New Rochelle man was killed and his passenger was seriously injured when a car collided with a building late last night.
On Monday at 11:39 p.m., the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department was alerted to a single vehicle accident in front of 1420 West Boston Post Road. Responding officers found that a vehicle had left the roadway, struck a light pole and tree, then collided with the side of a building where the car came to rest on its driver’s side.

The driver and passenger were extricated from the vehicle by the Town of Mamaroneck Fire Department and the Larchmont Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Sadly, the driver, a 20-year-old man from New Rochelle was taken by Mamaroneck EMS to Montefiore Hospital-New Rochelle where he later died. The passenger, an 18 year-old man, was transported by Larchmont Volunteer Ambulance Corps to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx and is in serious condition.

The New Rochelle Fire Department was called in to stabilize the building. The Town of Mamaroneck Building Department will assess the structural integrity of the heavily damaged building.

The accident remains under investigation and any witnesses to the crash are being encouraged to contact the Town of Mamaroneck Police.
The Town of Mamaroneck Police Department Detective Division also responded to the scene with the assistance of the Westchester County Department of Public Safety Accident Investigation Unit. The Village of Larchmont and the Village of Mamaroneck Police Departments also assisted in the response.
