A Statement Honoring Capt. Thomas Sullivan

The Larchmont Police Department released a statement earlier today in honor of Capt. Thomas Sullivan.

The untimely and sudden passing of Capt. Thomas Sullivan was received with shock and disbelief by the members of the Larchmont Police Department. Our thoughts and prayers are first and foremost with the Sullivan family for their immeasurable loss.

To our Department members, Capt. Sullivan was not only an administrator, leader and role model, he was a friend.  A dedicated police officer who selflessly placed the needs of those under his command first and foremost.

In his capacity as Executive Officer, his ability to deal with others, his unique problem solving skills and his acute understanding of his role as a leader made him an inimitable asset to the Larchmont Police Department.

His jovial and smiling affect and larger than life presence touched each of us on a daily basis, and it is incredible to realize we have lost him.  His memory, however, will forever remain with each and every officer who had the privilege to serve with him.
