Annual Fire Department Open House Set in Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, NY — The date for the Town of Mamaroneck Fire Department annual open house has been set.

The free event, which is open to the public, will take place noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 15 at the fire department at 205 Weaver St.

People can explore the firehouse to learn about fighting fires and fire safety.

There will be a smoke-room simulator that can teach children how they can escape from a house that is filled with smoke.

Equipment demonstrations will also be offered.

Firefighters will be offering games, giveaways and refreshments, including hot dogs.
