Zion Memorial Chapel, Westchester Country’s ONLY, all-Jewish, free standing and independent funeral home, is celebrating its 30th year.  Opened in 1996 under the advice and direction of Rabbi Steven Ziskind, a mentor and friend of Vincent Graziano, Zion was predicated on the belief that the Jewish community deserved better and more options when it came to burying their loved ones.  Zion, with no conglomerate affiliations and no shared facilities, has been able to maintain better than competitive costs over the years.  They remain, in fact, the lowest cost Jewish funeral provider in Westchester County and are proud of such.  Zion Memorial Chapel has created strong bonds with area rabbis who recognized the firm’s unique attention to detail and heightened compassion towards grieving families. Larchmont Police are currently investigating an armed robbery at Hudson City Savings Bank on Boston Post Road. The robbery occurred around 11 a.m. at the bank, which is located on 2040 Boston Post Road. Larchmont Police, as well as Westchester County Police, are currently on the scene. However, they would not release any details about the incident. A desk officer at Larchmont Police headquarters said the department would release information about the robbery as soon as it is available. The bank is currently closed while police investigate.
