Beware Phony Utility Workers: News Report

Mamaroneck village has issued a warning about phony Westchester Joint Water Works (WJWW) representatives, according to the Mamaroneck Daily Voice.

Two people impersonating water company employees tried to get into a resident's home, and police were notified, the online media reported.

Ask for ID if a utility worker approaches you, officials said.

Westchester Joint Water Works makes appointments and all representatives have identification, the Daily Voice reported.

Police said residents with concerns should call the department.
