A hands-on "Winning College Essays Workshop" will be held at the Mamaroneck Library on October 17th and October 24th, 7-8 p.m.

"You mean, write my college essay now?" is an outcry heard around high school hallways in October.
A hands-on "Winning College Essays Workshop" will be offered on two dates at the Mamaroneck Public Library on October 17th or October 24th. Based on the urgent questions shared by so many local parents. the Workshop will focus on essential guidelines for crafting an essay and tips on making yourself stand out from the rest.
The Workshop will further explain:

- Leveraging the Common Application questions;
- Engaging your admissions audience;
- Polishing your paragraphs, using real life examples of student's writing;
- Preparing multiple essays that can be used for specific colleges;
- Strategizing to increase college acceptance and scholarship opportunities;
- Pitfalls to avoid in your essay
The Workshop is timed to coincide with Early Action and Early Decision applications, which are due on November 1st or 15th.
