Orienta Beach Club

The Woman’s Club of Larchmont, Inc. will hold their annual fundraising Philanthropic Luncheon with the theme Spring Frolic.	Plan to attend this enjoyable and worthwhile event. Browse the gift baskets, and participate in the silent auction while enjoying with friends the fashions from the Golden Shoestring, a thrift shop in Larchmont run by the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound.
Funds raised help support various community organizations and in the past year the twenty-three recipients have included Larchmont-Mamaroneck Student Aid Fund, STEM Alliance Scholarship Fund, Community Resource Center, SHORE/ICARE, Friends of the Counseling Center Larchmont-Mamaroneck, The Fuller Center for Housing, and Westchester County Federation of Women’s Clubs Scholarship Fund.
 Doors open at 11:00 AM with the luncheon served at 12:30 PM. Reservations are $75/person and must be made by April 17th. No reservations accepted after that date! Include your name, phone number, # of guests, guest name(s), and meal choice: salmon, chicken or vegetarian. Thursdays, April 23–May 28 12:20–2:00 PM Admission: $324
In this course, we’ll explore brush techniques, character structure, and the beauty of different script styles. Through
 guided exercises on lines, pressure, and movement, students will learn 
to connect mind, breath, and brush—discovering a state of flow through 
ink.
 No experience is needed—just
 curiosity and a calm mind. You may be surprised at how meditative and 
grounding the rhythm of ink can be!
<h3>About the Instructor</h3>
Sinrong Chen
is an artist whose practice bridges the traditions of Chinese 
calligraphy and ink painting with a contemporary sensibility. She has 
developed a style that emphasizes the fluidity of brushwork and the 
meditative rhythm of ink on paper. Her paintings often draw inspiration 
from nature—birds, flowers, and flowing forms—expressed through bold 
brushstrokes that celebrate both discipline and spontaneity. She sees 
the act of painting as a dialogue between control and chance, where each
 stroke captures a fleeting moment of flow.

Zion Memorial Chapel, Westchester Country’s ONLY, all-Jewish, free standing and independent funeral home, is celebrating its 30th year.  Opened in 1996 under the advice and direction of Rabbi Steven Ziskind, a mentor and friend of Vincent Graziano, Zion was predicated on the belief that the Jewish community deserved better and more options when it came to burying their loved ones.  Zion, with no conglomerate affiliations and no shared facilities, has been able to maintain better than competitive costs over the years.
