Bronx Man Arrested For Aggravated DWI In Mamaroneck

The drunken driver had a BAC more than 2x the legal limit when he was pulled over in the early morning hours, according to NY State Police.

MAMARONECK, NY — A man behind the wheel at twice the legal limit was taken off the road in the early morning hours on the New England Thruway.

On Sunday, just before 2 a.m., state troopers stopped a vehicle on I-95 in the Village of Mamaroneck. The troopers soon discovered that the driver, John A. Figueroa, 32, of the Bronx, was intoxicated.

Figueroa was taken into custody and processed at SP New Rochelle, where his blood alcohol content was found to be 0.18 percent, New York State Police officials said.

Figueroa was charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was released to a sober third party with an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Mamaroneck Court on October 6.
