Comedy Night FUNdraiser Thursday, April 12 at Molly Spillane’s

Benefit for the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Center for Continuing Education with comics from the Comic Strip and Hommocks teacher Ron Nobles

A comedy night fundraiser featuring performers from the New York City comedy scene will take place Thursday, April 12 at 7 PM at Molly Spillane’s in Mamaroneck. The evening will benefit the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Center for Continuing Education.

Hommocks teacher Ron Nobles will be the evening’s MC. A technology teacher by day, Nobles has appeared at the Comic Strip and other clubs and has toured colleges and venues around the country. Nobles has recruited fellow Comic Strip comedians Charles McBee, Dan Altano, Josh Hyman and Robyn Schall to perform.

According to the Center’s Executive Director, Diane Cashman, “We hope the community will come out for this evening of FUNdraising to support the Center. For almost 100 years, we have been a vital part of Larchmont and Mamaroneck. We are a non-profit, separate from the school district, and pay for classroom space. We strive to keep classes affordable and fees do not cover our costs. We rely on the generosity of the community to sustain us.”

Cashman adds, “Our classes range from one-day events such as museum outings and walking tours to foreign language, film, computer and financial planning classes. Our students aren’t just sitting at desks, they are moving to yoga, line dancing, tai chi and Zumba, playing games such as golf, pickle ball, bridge and canasta. We also offer college prep and STEM classes. Funds raised will also allow us to provide scholarships to students in need.”

Tickets are $99 and include a buffet dinner. The evening, which is for adults 21 and over, is possible thanks to a generous donation from Julia B. Fee/Sothebys. For tickets, please visit LMCCE.org or call 914-698-9126
