CT Woman Arrested For DWI At Twice The Limit In Mamaroneck

Police said open containers of alcohol could be seen inside the Bridgeport motorist's vehicle after she was pulled over on the NE Thruway.

MAMARONECK, NY — There was ample reason to believe a Connecticut woman shouldn't have been behind the wheel in Mamaroneck, according to New York State Police.

On Saturday, shortly before 1:30 a.m., state police came across a car stopped on the shoulder of I-95. Troopers said there were also several beer bottles on the ground nearby.

When troopers approached the car, the driver began to drive away, but the cops returned to their patrol car and pulled the car over. Police said open containers of alcohol could be seen inside the vehicle. The driver, 41-year-old Christina Diaz, of Bridgeport, was intoxicated, according to troopers.
