'Dangerous Situation' Robbery Suspect At Large In Mamaroneck: Police
Police are looking for the suspect and are asking neighbors in the Heathcote Hill section of Mamaroneck to report anything suspicious.

MAMARONECK, NY — The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department alerted residents shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday night about a wanted armed robbery suspect in the Heathcote Hill section of Mamaroneck.
Police sent a Nixle alert about a "dangerous situation," in which two suspects who were involved in an armed robbery in Connecticut fled from police and crashed on I-95, near Fenimore Road.
One of the suspects was apprehended by police, but the second suspect is reportedly still in the area. Officers are currently still searching the area for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a Black male in his late teens, dressed all in black.
Hours earlier, a woman was robbed of her purse and cell phone at gunpoint at the Stratford Shop Rite, according to police. The victim was unharmed but the suspects fled in a stolen Jeep.

Officers from surrounding towns located the vehicle and after "several attempts to stop the armed subjects," the vehicle eventually was stopped in New York.
The suspect who was taken into custody is a juvenile and a loaded firearm was recovered. The second person who fled from the stolen Jeep remains at large.
Police ask residents to call 911 or 914-777-1122 to report anything suspicious or if they see a male matching the description of the suspect in the area.
