E. Boston Post Road Checkpoint Will Make Sure You Are Buckled Up

The joint operation between Rye PD and the Village of Mamaroneck police is part of the nationwide "Click it! Or Ticket!" campaign.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — It's always a good idea to wear your safety belt, but police from two Sound Shore jurisdictions are offering another good reason to buckle up this week.

On Thursday, the Village of Mamaroneck Police Department will be partnering with the City of Rye Police Department to conduct a joint seat belt and motorist safety checkpoint at the intersection of East Boston Post Road and Hornidge Road. Officers from both agencies will be out from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. checking seat belt compliance for drivers and passengers.

Police will also be checking general New York State vehicle and traffic law compliance. So, now is a good time to make sure your inspection sticker is up to date.
