Election 2023: Torres Wins Village Of Mamaroneck Mayoral Race
The hard-fought and sometimes bitter campaigning is over, the voters have made their choices and ballots have been tallied.

LARCHMONT/MAMARONECK, NY — The polls have closed and the time for campaigning is done. Here are the latest unofficial results of Election Day 2023, according to the Westchester County Board of Elections.
While some races remain too close to call, here is what voters in Larchmont/Mamaroneck have decided so far:
Incumbent Village of Mamaroneck Mayor Tom Murphy has conceded to challenger Sharon R. Torres.

"Dear Friends, I lost the election tonight," Mayor Murphy said in a statement released on social media Tuesday night. "It has been a pleasure to serve the Village these many years. I congratulate Sharon Torres and Nora Lucas and wish them the best."

Sharon R. Torres (Building Bridges Party) has defeated Thomas Murphy (D, WF) *
The Village of Mamaroneck Proposition was defeated by a wide margin: "Shall there be approved and adopted in the Village of Mamaroneck, New York, a local law entitled 'A local law regarding the terms of office of the mayor and trustees of the Village of Mamaroneck, amending Chapter 9 of the code of the Village of Mamaroneck' to provide that General Village Elections in the Village of Mamaroneck will be held biennially in even numbered years and that the terms of the mayor and trustees will be four years?"
