Electricity Still Out At Larchmont Shopping Center After Fire
Whether or not the Stop and Shop in the Ferndale Shopping Center will open Thursday has yet to be determined.
LARCHMONT, NY — In the wake of the fire at Excelsior Cleaners on W. Boston Post Road Wednesday, the entire shopping center, which also includes a Stop and Shop, is still closed as of Thursday morning. There is no electricity to the Ferndale Shopping Center, which means the establishments are closed.
There was no indication whether the grocery store would be able to open for business, the Journal News said.
County health department officials inspected the supermarket Wednesday and would make a determination sometime Thursday.

The fire began at the dry-cleaners around 3:15 p.m. Thursday and was knocked down about an hour later.
Also in the shopping center are the drugstore CVS and Cosi, a restaurant.
