MAST presents "Fiddler on the Roof Jr."

“Fiddler on the Roof Jr.” is the Mamaroneck Avenue School Theater’s 16th annual production.  This production will showcase the talent of over eighty Mamaroneck Avenue School students, participating as cast, crew, and band members. Some are even alumni students who come back to help out every year.

This junior company production stays true to the original which premiered in 1965 and won nine Tony awards, including “Best Musical”.  It is set in Russia in the village of Anatevka in 1905 and centers on Tevye, the father of five daughters, and his attempts to maintain his family and traditions while outside influences encroach upon their lives.  The show addresses timeless themes -- Love/Family, Tolerance, Tradition and Getting through life “gracefully” in spite of difficult times – through many popular songs including “Tradition”, “Matchmaker”, “If I Were A Rich Man”, “To Life”, and “Sunrise, Sunset”.

Come see a joyful and uplifting MAST performance of ‘Fiddler on the Roof Jr.’ on Thursday, February 9th at 6:30pm; Friday, February 10th at 7pm; or Saturday, February 11th at 1pm and 7pm.  Performances do sell out, so purchase tickets in advance by calling 914-220-3601.
