Spring Showcase @ Larchmont Public Library

The Larchmont Public Library presents “Spring Showcase”, an exhibit of works by the art students enrolled at the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Senior Center. The exhibit will be on display in the Oresman Gallery in the Larchmont Public Library from April 1, through April 30, 2012. The exhibit is free and open to everyone during normal library hours. There will be an artist’s reception for artists whose works are on display in the exhibit on Saturday, April 14, from 2:30pm to 4:00pm. The reception is also free and everyone is welcome.

This is the 39th annual exhibit featuring the works of seniors attending the art class led by artist and instructor Patricia Sutherland and will include artworks from every medium including oils, watercolor, acrylic, pastels and graphic pencil. Twenty-five of the twenty-nine students currently studying with Ms. Sutherland will feature their work in the exhibit.

The Larchmont-Mamaroneck Senior Center offers art instruction throughout the year on Wednesdays. The classes are held every Wednesday from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the VFW Post located at 1288 Boston Post Road, in Mamaroneck.
