Fatal Mamaroneck Avenue Pedestrian Hit-And-Run Arrest
An arrest has been made in connection with the hit-and-run accident in which a pedestrian was killed, Mamaroneck police said on Friday.

MAMARONECK, NY — An Elmsford man was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident, police said on Friday.
On Wednesday, shortly after 11 p.m., a pedestrian was struck near 609 Mamaroneck Ave. Officers at the scene of the accident worked to save the life of the 44-year-old man from Mamaroneck, who has not yet been identified by authorities. He was rushed to Westchester County Medical Center, but was later pronounced dead.

The Westchester County Department of Public Safety Accident Investigation Unit was asked to process the scene of the accident. Village of Mamaroneck detectives later charged Jerry Barrios with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in death, a D Felony.
The 23-year-old was arraigned in the Village of Mamaroneck Court and released on $5,000 cash bail.
