First Baptist Church of White Plains Welcomes New Pastor

Rev. Tim Dalton Unanimously Elected as Senior Minister

WHITE PLAINS. Earlier this month Rev. Tim Dalton joined First Baptist Church of White Plains as Senior Minister. His arrival marked the culmination of an extensive search process. A team of 7 church members had considered over 80 applicants from throughout the United States and from as far away as Ireland and Thailand. Based on the team’s recommendation, the congregation at First Baptist unanimously elected Rev. Dalton to be their new pastor.

Ordained in 2010, Rev. Dalton has a Masters of Divinity and Masters of Higher Education Administration, as well as extensive clinical pastoral training and national board certification as a clinical chaplain. He has served in many diverse ministry settings from urban to suburban areas, most recently for 5 years as pastor of Lower Merion Baptist Church in Bryn Mawr PA.

These experiences have provided him ample opportunity to encounter others in powerful and sacred ways. Honoring the stories of others, as well as sharing his own journey in faith, Tim seeks to create a sense of holy hospitality—safe spaces where people can dig deeper and allow personal and communal transformation to occur.
