To facilitate the Larchmont Open, the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library have partnered with LMG Library Mini Golf based in Trumbull, CT. LMG grew out of an idea to raise money to aid Gulf Coast libraries that had experienced damage from Hurricane Katrina. The public library in Trumbull, CT, hosted the very first min-golf tournament inside a library in the Fall of 2005, turning the library into a complete 18-hole miniature golf course. Needless to say, the event was a tremendous success and the company now works with public and private libraries throughout the Northeast.
Local businesses and individuals are sponsoring each of the 18 holes along the library mini-golf course, making this first-ever tournament a community-wide event. Space is limited, so it is recommended that interested participants get their tickets early.
